Memory Game - Simple Past

You can use only the cards with the verbs in the simple present and in the past tense to play a Memory Game with your students. You if want to make it more challenging you can ask the student who has found the pair os cards to change the complement in the cards... For example, instead of Feel exhausted, they have to say something else, For example, feel tired, feel happy, this way the students practice collocations as well. Good Game!!!!

RING THE BELL

1.                         Here is a great game. It will make your students think, move, learn and have a great time!!

·         The teacher can divide the class in two or three teams.
·         All the students have to stand before a line set by the teacher , if we have three teams, we  will have three lines of students.
·         The teacher says a word chosen from the Deck of Cards - PLAY TO LEARN - (SIMPLE PRESENT - DO DOES)
·         The teacher has already put the bell on a table.
·         The student who rings the bell first has to say a sentence with that word.
·         If the sentence is correct, he-she scores a point.
·         If the sentence is not correct, another student can ring the bell and say a sentence.
·         The teacher keeps track of the points.
·         The winner is the team that has said more sentences that are correct.

Fly Swatter Game - The Verb Be

Your students will have a great time playing this game.... and so will you...
It is very simple...

You will need -
*  Fly swatters ( the same number of students playing the game, or you can divide your students in groups and each group has one fly swatter).

* PLAY TO LEARN Cards - VERBO - TO BE

* Spread only the yellow cards on a table.
* The students will be around the table, each with a Fly Swatter
* Yoy say a word that is spread on the table, the aim of the students is to find it quickly, hit with the fly swatter.
* The students that hits first, gets the card.
* The winner is the student, or group with the biggest number of cards.

If you want to make it more challenging.
* After hitting the word, the student has to say a  sentence using the word in the card. If the sentence is correct they get the card and consequently the point. If the sentence is wrong they have to put the card back on the table and, of course, don't get the point.

Have Fun!!!! And let me know if the students enjoyed it!!!
